      DUBLIN JEROME REPEATS AS DIVISION 1 STATE CHAMPIONS EARNING IT'S 8TH TITLE
Dublin Jerome secured back-to-back Division I boys golf state titles on Saturday on the Scarlet Course at The Ohio State University Golf Club with a score of 316-309-625. The Celtics have now won eight OHSAA boys golf state championships. Only Upper Arlington (17) and Gahanna Columbus Academy (9) possess more.
 
Dublin Jerome was led by senior Jackson Chandler, who earned co-medalist honors shooting 77-72-149. Chandler improved on his sixth-place finish at the 2017 state tournament. Joining Chandler as a First-Team All-Ohio honoree from Jerome was senior Mason Wagner. Wagner shot a 77-75-152 to earn a tie for fourth place.

Green senior Maxwell Moldovan became the 19th member of the OHSAA two-time medalist club, after also earning the honor in 2017. Moldovan’s 73-76-149 earned him co-medalist honors with Chandler.
 
Liberty Township Lakota East (321-329-650) edged Cincinnati St. Xavier (323-327-650) as the runner-up due to the OHSAA golf tie breaker rules. Lakota East senior Kyle Schmidt was the lone All-Ohio finisher for the Thunderhawks. Schmidt finished tied for ninth, shooting a 76-81-157.New Paragraph
