Dublin Jerome made a great showing as they finished 3rd at the 2016 State Championships. Unfortunately, the tournament was only an 18 hole event after Friday's round got rained out. The Celtics posted a strong score of 308 to finish 3rd behind St. Charles and St. Xavier. Blake Solomon received 1st Team All-State and Jack Herceg earned 2nd Team All-State honors.
The Celtics moved onto the District Tournament at Apple Valley and was able to finish runner-up to advance back to the State Championship. The Green team posted a team score of 300 to finish in 2nd behind St. Charles who posted a 297. Play for the Celtics was led by Davis Root who carded a 74 to lead the team, followed by Jack Herceg and Blake Solomon who both posted a pair of 75's. Jackson Chandler rounded out the team score with a 76. The 300 team score was 4 shots clear of 3rd place New Albany and solidified the Celtics returning to the 2016 State Championship. This marks the Celtics 12th State Championship appearance in 13 years of the schools existence.
